STEP 1: Convert Input(s) to Base Unit
Signal Output: 10 --> No Conversion Required
Depth of Flow: 3.23 Meter --> 3.23 Meter No Conversion Required
Discharge in Stream: 60 Cubic Meter per Second --> 60 Cubic Meter per Second No Conversion Required
System Constant k: 2 --> No Conversion Required
System Constant n: 2.63 --> No Conversion Required
System Constant K2: 3 --> No Conversion Required
STEP 2: Evaluate Formula
Substituting Input Values in Formula
I = E*d/((Qs/k)^(1/nsystem)-K2) --> 10*3.23/((60/2)^(1/2.63)-3)
Evaluating ... ...
I = 50.1130362384785
STEP 3: Convert Result to Output's Unit
50.1130362384785 Ampere --> No Conversion Required
FINAL ANSWER
50.1130362384785 50.11304 Ampere <-- Current in Coil

How does Electromagnetic Method of Streamflow Measurement work?

The Electromagnetic Method measures point velocity of a stream by using an electromagnetic meter. Continuous records of velocity at one point in a cross section and of the stage readings are used to calculate the stream discharge records. This method works according to Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, the motion of water flowing in a stream cuts the vertical component of the earth’s magnetic field and an electromotive force (EMF) is induced in the water.

How does a Vertical Magnetic Field is created?

Large coils buried at the bottom of the channel carry a current I to produce a controlled vertical magnetic field. The electrode provided at the sides of the channel section measures the small voltage produced due to the flow of water in the channel.

How to Calculate Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method?

Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method calculator uses Current in Coil = Signal Output*Depth of Flow/((Discharge in Stream/System Constant k)^(1/System Constant n)-System Constant K2) to calculate the Current in Coil, The Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method formula is defined as the controlled vertical magnetic field produced when a large coil is buried at the bottom which carries a current I. Current in Coil is denoted by I symbol.

How to calculate Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method using this online calculator? To use this online calculator for Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method, enter Signal Output (E), Depth of Flow (d), Discharge in Stream (Qs), System Constant k (k), System Constant n (nsystem) & System Constant K2 (K2) and hit the calculate button. Here is how the Current in Coil in Electromagnetic Method calculation can be explained with given input values -> 50.11304 = 10*3.23/((60/2)^(1/2.63)-3).
